Hørt i centeret // Heard in the gym

Hold op, hvor hører man bare nogle åndsvage kommentarer i centeret (underforstået: fitness centeret) en gang i mellem. Jeg træner ofte alene – og så kan man altså ikke undgå at opfange små dele af andres samtaler. De fleste sjove kommentarer kommer fra nybegynderne, så de er selvfølgelig lidt undskyldt.. men derfor kan jeg nu alligevel ikke lade være med at grine, når der bliver sagt åndssvage ting. Her får I lige et par eksempler fra de sidste par dage:

  1. ”Squat? Er det ikke en øvelse der kun er for drenge?”

Åhh jeg kunne altså ikke lade være med at smile og tænke, ”Bare vent min pige.. Squats bliver din booty’s nye bedste ven!”

  1. ”Altså jeg vil nok mest lave konditionstræning. Jeg gider ikke være sådan en med store arme.”

Nåårh ja, for det er jo sindssygt let at få store arme?? Jeg har snart løftet vægte i snart 2 år og mine biceps ligner stadig nogle små tøsemuller, haha. (De bliver stærkere, men ikke særlig meget større…)

  1. ”Er det den der maskine, der giver en stram fisse?”

Ja, det blev faktisk sagt – højt, så man kunne høre det i hele centeret. Gud,, hvor havde jeg svært ved at holde masken! (det blev for resten sagt om hip abductorene)

Jeg synes, det er meget sødt – og uskyldigt. De opdager forhåbentlig snart hvor fantastisk ”fitnessverdenen” egentlig er. Har i selv overhørt nogle sjove kommentarer?

My gym has gotten a lot of new members during the last few weeks. That means A LOT OF new beginners! They are sweet, and they are innocent, but the surely have some stupid (funny) comments. They don’t have any experience, so they are excused, of course! But sometimes it is just too entertaining, and then I cant help smiling. I’ll give you some examples that will bright up this rainy Saturday:

  1. ”Squat? I thought that was only an exercise for boys?”

Ohh, I couldn’t help thinking ” Just wait sweetie.. Squats will become your booty’s best friend!”

  1. ”I’m a cardio girl, I’ll only do cardio. I don’t want big arms.”

Okay then, tell me about how easy it is to get big arms? I’ve been lifting for two years now, and my arms haven’t grown much. They are stronger yes, but not much bigger.

  1. ”Is that the machine that gives you a tight vagina?”

Yes, someone said that. Out loud. Everybody heard it. Omg, I almost couldn’t keep a straight face. (this was said about the hip abductors by the way)

I don’t know why, but I find this very cute, lol. Hopefully these girls will soon discover the real ”fitness world”.

This week #4

How has your week been? Mine has been tough! I feel like school is just getting busier and busier every week! It’s hard for me to find time to relax because I don’t want to skip my workouts! Also my diet haven’t been all clean this week.. And you know what? – it’s OK! I’ll get back on track tomorrow and everything will fine! I mean isn’t that what a healthy life style is all about? To do your best every day? To wake up Monday morning and think, ”yes, this is gonna be a difficult week! But I’m still gonna work out! I’m still gonna eat healthy (Even if I’m on the run and have to eat all of my meals from a tupperware)! And I’m still gonna do my homework and hand in my essays before the deadline! I AM GONNA WORK MY ASS OFF!”

As always I’m posting this last week’s workout schedule:

Monday: 1 and a half hour at the gym: LEGS and a little abs + Gym class (in school): 40 minutes cardio (step)

Tuesday: Cardio: 6,5 km run

Wednesday: 1 and a half hour at the gym: Back, triceps and a little abs

Thursday: 1 and a half hour at the gym: Shoulders, chest, biceps and a little abs + cardio: 4,5 km run

Friday: Cardio: 25 minutes on the cross trainer + 1 hour zumba class

Saturday: 1 and a half hour at the gym: abs + 1 hour BODY PUMP class

Sunday: 12 km run

 

Today’s workout and lunch

I had an awesome workout at the gym today – I pretty much increased weight in every single exercise! Actually I deadlifted 40kg which is more than ever before! My abs, back and triceps are going to be unbelievable sore tomorrow! Love it! Anyways when I finally got home (after almost 2 hours) I made this awesome lunch!

– 3 rice paper rolls filled with 1 red pepper, half a cucumber, sweet chili sauce and soya sauce.

– half a squash and a green pepper steamed on a pan topped with Mexican spiced minced meat.

– 2 big tablespoons of cottage cheese

I just love having vacation – that way I can cook nice fresh food for dinner instead of the usual lunchbox.
